Mt. Marquette Scenic Overlook – Marquette Michigan Attractions

Mt. Marquette Scenic Overlook is a vantage point where you can see the city, peninsula, and Lake Superior from Mount Marquette. A winding road takes you up the mountain to a rocky outcropping at the summit. From there you will behold a particularly amazing view—but be beware, this is not a path for anything but hiking boots, as it has steep and uneven ground, worn and grooved by mountain bikers and hikers.

In winter, the road is only open to cross-country skiers or those rugged souls daring enough to trek up the mountain in show shoes. The view, however, will be worth the hearty climb—not to mention the benefit of the workout it affords.
